NJ MONTGOMERY — Zoning board unanimously approves pickleball courts at Nassau Tennis Club. The Montgomery Zoning Board of Adjustment voted 7-0 on March 24 to grant a minor site plan and use variance for Nassau Racquet and Tennis Club, allowing replacement of its disused outdoor swimming pool with two outdoor pickleball courts on its 12.7-acre Route 206 property. Michael Fedun, Esq., represented the applicant; William J.
Kemper, the club's controller, testified that pool usage had declined significantly since the pandemic while demand for pickleball among club members had grown substantially. Board approval includes conditions requiring a 10:00 p.m. lighting shutoff, sound attenuation materials to address noise impacts, and compliance with outside agency requirements.
