Township Committee advances 189-unit development in housing settlement

Township Committee · Meeting of April 30, 2026

NJ MONTGOMERY — Montgomery settles Fourth Round affordable housing obligation through development agreement. The Township Committee voted 4-0, with Committee Member Dennis Ahn abstaining, to approve a memorandum of agreement with Country Club Meadows, LLC and Pike Run II requiring the extension of 96 affordable-housing units at Pike Run in exchange for township support of a 189-unit residential development on approximately 13 acres between State Highway 206 and Township Line Road in the Belle Mead area. The agreement addresses the township's Fourth Round affordable housing needs set by Superior Court at 73 units of present need and 260 units of prospective need through July 2035.

The proposed development will also include a park-and-ride facility.
