Planning Board extends Harlingen site plan approval to January 2027

NJ MONTGOMERY — Montgomery Planning Board extends major subdivision site plan approval through January 2027. Chair Dave Campeas and the board unanimously extended preliminary and final site plan approval for Harlingen Associates' Route 206 subdivision to January 8, 2027, on a 9-0 vote. The board heard a presentation on Montgomery's Fourth Round affordable housing strategy totaling 260 credits for 2025 to 2035, with a midpoint review in 2030.
The proposed housing plan prioritizes preservation of existing affordable units through affordability controls rather than new inclusionary development, removing three previously identified sites including the E. Kahn property. Township Attorney Wendy Rubinstein Quiroga noted that if circumstances change regarding E.
Kahn litigation, the housing plan would be amended.
