Montgomery Environmental Commission advances data center prohibition

NJ MONTGOMERY — Montgomery Environmental Commission honors watershed leadership, advances data center ban. Township Engineer Mark Herrmann and Administrator Lori Savron were awarded the Watershed Institute's Ted Stiles Award for Environmental Leadership for the township's regional watershed planning work. The commission is advancing spring environmental initiatives, including a May 7 public information session on stormwater basin retrofit work and exploration of a film screening on plastics reduction.
An ordinance to expressly prohibit data centers in Montgomery is scheduled for introduction at the Township Committee meeting on May 14.
