Montgomery endorses amended housing element for 333 units.

NJ MONTGOMERY — Montgomery endorses affordable housing plan for 333 units. The Township Committee unanimously endorsed the Amended Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan at its March 19 meeting, committing the town to develop 73 present-need units and 260 prospective-need units to comply with state Mount Laurel requirements. Mayor Neena Singh announced the 2026 municipal budget will be presented April 16 and voted for adoption May 14, with a public hearing on May 14, and cautioned that residents may see a tax increase due to rising healthcare costs, contractual obligations, and pensions.

The committee also awarded a wireless telecommunications facility lease to Wireless Edge Towers III LLC at $46,212 annually with 41 percent revenue sharing and approved a fire protection contract for $12,694.50 annually.
