NJ MONTGOMERY — Montgomery Township Committee adopts filming ordinance with tiered permit fees. The unanimously approved Ordinance #26-1770 establishes a regulatory framework for film and television production on public and private property involving public lands, creating major motion picture permits at $500 daily plus $100 application fee, with other commercial filming at $150 daily plus application fee. The committee also unanimously approved $4,462,000 in supplemental Green Acres Program funding for open space acquisition and voted 3-0, with Committee Member Dennis Ahn abstaining, to settle a tax appeal with Country Club Meadows, LLC, setting the 2026 assessed value of the property at 22 Scarborough Road at $15,500,000.
The committee introduced three ordinances for public hearing March 5: a comprehensive 2026 salary and wage plan, amendments to affordable housing regulations, and expansion of traffic regulations.
