NJ MONTGOMERY — Montgomery Planning Board adopts amended housing plan favoring preservation of existing affordable units. The Board unanimously approved the 2026 Fourth Round Housing Element and Fair Share Plan, which extends affordability controls on 210 existing units at Pike Run, Montgomery Glen, McKinley Commons, and McKinley Court rather than requiring new construction. Planning Director Lori Savron noted the amendment became possible after the original plan's adoption when Pike Run's property owner expressed interest in extended controls.
The plan generates 275 housing credits, exceeding the Township's obligation by 15 credits. In a separate vote, the Board approved an amended final site plan for Princeton Promenade, LLC involving signage and a model home with off-site temporary parking, with Sarah Roberts voting against approval.
