Commission organizes for 2026, elects Mary Reece as chairperson.

NJ MONTGOMERY — Montgomery Environmental Commission elects leadership for 2026 amid major grant announcements. Mary Reece was unanimously elected as chairperson, with Frank Derby appointed to the Site Plan Subdivision Committee, Greg Kaganowicz to the Master Plan Committee, Sarah Roberts to the Open Space Committee, and Kathy Lynch to the Sewer Committee. The township was awarded $288,000 from the Department of Environmental Protection for a Lower Millstone River watershed management plan and $537,522 from the Department of Transportation for Orchard Road sidewalk and bicycle lane improvements.

The commission is pursuing a pollinator habitat grant with an application deadline of February 17.
